Electrical issues should never be taken lightly but not evry electrical issue requires an expensive service call from a licensed electrician. Outlets that dont work swithces that don't switch or fixtures that only seem to work when they want to can usually be easily fixed or replaced. Maybe you have a burned out light bulb thats a little out of reach.
If your not comfortable messing with any of these, don't ! Call me instead.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not an electrician and won't attempt any major electrical repairs but a lot of these things are pretty easy to take care of.
Front doors, back doors, bedroom doors, bathroom doors, cabinet doors, storm doors, sliding patio doors.
Doors are all around your home and odds are one or more of them don't open or close correctly, have a squeak that drives you crazy, don't lock anymore or are "crooked".
It's probably nothing major, but why keep putting up with it ?
It's usually a simple fix and I'd would love to take care of it for you
Whether your going on vacation
are a snow bird or have an unoccupied rental or home for sale, having someone check on your place while your away can be cheap insurance and provide great peace of mind.
Two or three times a month I can check your property to make sure everything is working properly and everything is as you left it.
If any problems are found that need imediate attention, we'll let you know and make sure it's taken care of so you don't have to worry about it.
When your considering the purchase of a new home you want to be aware of any issues before you make your final desicion.
As a certified home inspector, I will conduct an unbiased "limited visual inspection" following the standards of practice established by the National Association of Home Inspectors. I'm not a code enforcement officer and can't tell you what you should do but I will make note of obvious issues I observe that may present an exsisting or potential structural, saftey, fire or health concern and if needed, recommend further review and or correction by a qualified contractor or technician.
In most cases, issues found are not major "deal breakers".
- Swamp cooler service
- Gutter cleaning (on most homes)
- CO2 / Smoke detector checks
- Cleaning and lubrication of window & patio door "tracks"
- Furnace filter replacement
- Almost anything you can check or fix yourself but don't want to !
Kitchens are the heart of almost every home and when something isn't working right it can be really annoying. A jammed garbage disposal, leaky faucet or sprayer that won't spray. Maybe a burner on an electric stove top that doesn't work or a cabinet door that's crooked or won't stay closed. These are just a few little things that can seem like a big deal but in most cases their not.
You could probably fix it yourself if you wanted to... but you don't want to ! Thats why I'm here !
Screens. Can't live with them, can't live without them !
Dogs, cats, kid's and weather can take their toll, especially on nylon and vinyl screens. I'll bet you've got at least one that needs attention. Sure you could just live with that torn or missing screen. Or you could get everything you need to fix it at the hardware store and do it yourself but if you've never done it before it can be a real hassel !
Who ya gonna call ?
Windows are some of the most important parts of your home but have you ever seen an owners manual or care instructions for them ? When they won't easily open, close or latch, there is more than likely going to be a simple solution.
Maybe you have moisture or streaking between the panes of glass in some of your windows. This is pretty common but you don't have to replace the entire window. In many cases just the glass can be ordered and easily replaced. Call us to find out !
