I'm Mark Putzer, owner of MRP Home Inspection & Services.

Currently, based in Buena Vista, I've had the genuine pleasure of living in Colorado for the past 30 years.  In that time, I've done many things and gained a lot of valuable experience. Construction, wood working, handyman and remodeling jobs and owning a seamless gutter business are just some of the ventures through which I have learned much.

5 + years working as warranty service technician for one of the largest ACE Hardware stores in the country and as a glazier for a glass company in Canon City, I've worked on a wide variety of windows and doors as well as bathroom and kitchen cabinets.

Having spent  the last 7 1/2 years working for a large communications company, I realized that the only way I was going to be truely happy and satisfied, would be to work for myself doing what I enjoy, Working with my hands and helping people.

 

In mid 2012 I became aware of a need for certified home inspectors in our area. I obtained my home inspector certifcation by completeing a professional real estate inspection certification program through Inspection Certification Associates in Antioch, Il.

Upon getting that certification I had to decide how to move forward. After helping a neighbor with a hard to open window,  I thought about my years as a service technician and all the times I'd helped customers, family, friends and neighbors with so many things that they didn't realize were so easy to deal with. I also remembered a story I'd heard about someone being charged an outrageous amount of money to have an electrician replace a light switch.

 

MRP Home Inspection & Services was born.

 

I'm not looking to take on any major projects, there are plenty of qualified contractors and individuals who specialize in those sort of things but I do  look forward to helping you. Whether it's by doing a home inspection or helping to check a few things off your  "honey do" list.
